I’m not an artsy-fartsy person who takes themselves too seriously or thinks my job is to just create “pretty pictures.” I am a commercial artist who understands my job is to increase a clients bottom line; and I do that through beauty, imagination and creative problem solving.

About David

DAVID THE PERSON

My life confirms the age-old adage “truth is stranger than fiction.” As a child I lived on hippie communes in upstate NY and NH with no neighbors for miles, tiny apartments in Boston, the beach as my backyard and everything in between. By the age of 21 I had lived in 25 different towns and cities. I went to 6 different high schools and was a punk rock teen in South Florida.

Since then I’ve been blessed with a new life where I take nothing for granted and see endless possibilities in each new day. I credit my less than normal life experiences for how I view the world and get along with any and everyone.

My other passion is passing along what I’ve learned, both professionally and personally to those who would want to hear. I offer workshops, personal consultation, speaking and mentoring opportunities that vary depending on the seasons of my life. I now call Nashville home and enjoy life with my wife and 2 kids.

DAVID THE PHOTOGRAPHER

A lot of photographer bios start out with... “My dad gave me a camera when I was 12 and I really caught the bug.” In my case my dad worked for Polaroid for 15 years and I learned to drive in the the parking lot of the Polaroid headquarters in Boston. In a funny twist, my Dad now lives in condos that are built on the old Polaroid property.

As a photographer I strive to capture the true essence and qualities that make a person who they are. My goal is to shoot my subjects in a way that flatters and puts the focus on them so the photo is all about them and not me. Artistically, I create photos that are edgy while at the same time giving much respect to the principals that make for timeless photography; striking the balance of both style and substance.

I am a Nashville based Photographer, but I shoot all across the U.S. and abroad. I work out of a 5,600 square foot studio just outside of Nashville where I also keep my office.

Here’s a list of some of the most commonly asked questions I get.
