I’ve been doing commercial photography for about 17 years now and I thoroughly enjoy my career and the people I get to work with. In the last couple of years I’ve expanded my creative horizons and begun other artistic endeavours.
First, I began writing a novel a little over 2 years ago. I’m currently 2/3 of the way done with it and I’m very excited to release it sometime in the next year.
I’ve also started painting and learning CGI, but my favorite side project I’m working on is music. After being a music snob for my whole life, I finally did what I’ve always wanted to do and put an album out. My only prior experience in this realm is singing (screaming really) in a punk band when I was younger.
I started writing and creating this album in February of this year and just last month I released it. It’s a blend of indie and electronic music that’s along the lines of: M83, Washed Out, New Order, The Cure, Teen Daze, Beach House. The music is hard to fit into a typical genre and I love that about it. The Nashville music scene has become so diverse and I’m excited to not just do photography for it, but to be a part of it as well.
